Exercise Sheets - Polar Fleece (Quarter Sheets)

A lightweight, warm and soft polyester fabric that is easily washed and comes in a wide range of colours.

Exercise, or Quarter sheets, are a great way to keep your horse’s hind quarters warm and comfortable in those cooler months. They can also be used while you are warming up, or cooling down your horse after a ride.

There are two varieties of exercise sheets.

1. The stay on variety that goes straight onto the horses back before putting your saddle on. You can put your saddle blanket on top of the sheet or underneath, and the sheet literally stays on while you are riding. I find this is good for trail riding and a lot of people use them as a base for a fancy dress costume. This style normally comes with girthpoints and a tailstrap (please put in the comment section when ordering if you don’t want them).
2. Removable Sheets have a hole in the top where the rider and his/her saddle fits. They have Velcro at the front so you can easily undo the Velcro and remove the sheet whist still in the saddle. I can put a tailstrap on these ones, but generally I don’t unless requested as it can make it a little more awkward to whip off quickly.
